The action began around 9:45 p.m. when working with the OUI team, Capt. Diedrich Hoh and Officer Damien Rosa arrested Jorge Eyssen, 57, for driving on the wrong side of the road on West Main Street,  Hohn said.

Once stopped, Hohn said Eyssen "reeked of alcohol" and failed all the field sobriety test, and once at headquarters, he refused to take additional tests. He was charged with OUI and failure to drive in proper lane. He was released on $100 bond.

The second arrest came around 11 p.m. when officers responded to a head-on crash at Broad and Grove streets. The offending driver, Miklos Csapilla,  52, tried to flee north on Grove Street, but heavy damage to the vehicle prevented him from making it far, Hohn said.

The driver of the other vehicle chased after the car on foot. The car hit a curb and was stopped. When officers approached, Hohn said Csapilla was"belligerent, uncooperative and unremorseful," and refused all sobriety tests. He also refused to be fingerprinted and to have his mug shot taken.

He is being held on $10,000 bond.

There were no serious injuries in the crash.

While working the crash, Officers Jason Deems and Thomas Landry observed a vehicle pull up behind the tow truck who was towing one of the crashed vehicles. They watched as the driver, 27-year-old  Selvin Martinez stopped his vehicle in the middle of the travel lane, get out and attempt to walk away, while the vehicle was running, Hohn said.

The officers stopped Martinez and it was evident that he was under the influence of alcohol. He failed all sobriety tests and blew a .269 and a.261 on the breathalyzer., Hohn said.

He was charged with OUI and held on a $100 bond.
